Chateau Fontanche Saint Chinian – Supremely versatile Southern French red. We tried it with red and white meat, spicy food and cheese and it worked with everything.
Son Vich Expression – A rounded and elegant Mallorcan Tempranillo that’s bursting with juicy berry fruit. A cracking partner to cheese and even dark chocolate.
Maison Sichel Margaux – Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a top-class Bordeaux and so we’ve included this de-classified Margaux. Full-flavoured with blackcurrant and blackberry fruit. If you’re having beef or venison, it’s a great choice.
Tannat Sans Soufre Osmin – A robust and gutsy wine from South West France. The dark fruit flavours and rich tannins go well with food from the region such as cassoulet and coarse country-style pâté.
Urbina Reserva Rioja Especial – The combination of cask and bottle ageing has produced a wonderfully mellow and elegant wine with cigar box and leather notes creating a backdrop to the damson and blackberry fruit. Partner with roast meat and vegetables.
Eirados Fine Ruby Port – A shoe-in with Stilton, this Ruby Port is fresh yet luscious.
